Weiser Memorial Hospital is looking for a clinical professional who wishes to join a great patient-focused healthcare team. 

 

If you are/have:

 

·                    Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, baccalaureate degree or enrollment in a program within 6 month.

·                    Current state Registered Nurse Licensure.

·                    Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of medical surgical nursing and a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.

·                    Current BCLS, ACLS and PALS certification.  Will achieve within 1 year of hire.

·                    Knowledge of State and Federal Regulations.

 

The Medical/Surgical Nurse Manager is responsible for direction of patient care in the medical surgical setting.  Manages staff members in the Medical Surgical Unit.  Consults with staff, physicians and Chief Nursing Officer on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.  Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in QPI activities.  Responsibilities include maintaining current department policies, procedures, and standards of care, developing and maintaining staffing schedules, and assisting the CNO with goal planning budgeting.  Collaborates closely with the managers and charge nurses of other departments and medical staff.  Functions with limited supervision from the CNO.  This position is designed for a working manager who will fill in as staff member when needed.
