Friends of the Hospital - Our Auxiliary

This volunteer group organized in April of 1986 for the purpose of supporting the Hospital's endeavors through fund-raising for special projects and volunteering in-house. The group has 4 main events through the year:  (to see dates as they are schedules please see our Hospital Event Calendar.)

• February Recruitment Luncheon
• May - Spring Yard Sale
• Fall Arts & Crafts Show Booth
• Festival of Trees Booth

Contributions accumulate in a fund which is used for hospital improvement projects. In the past, these funds provided carpeting in the entryway of the hospital, automatic doors, clinic carpeting, televisions in the hospital, office chairs throughout the hospital, an enclosed lobby bulletin board and other valuable additions. Most recently, they have funded an recliners for the Birthing rooms and emergency room . The Friends also maintain a gift case and card rack in the Hospital lobby.

In addition to fundraising activities, Friends are active volunteers within the hospital. They assist with clerical duties, direct patients to hospital departments, and provide a helping hand wherever needed.

The Friends meet on the second Monday of each month, except during June, July, and August.

The dues amount for one year are $5.00, and all are welcome to join. Currently, the Friends have approximately 40 members, and more are always needed!
